After 15 years managing projects and businesses for multi-national systems integrators, predominantly contracts in both public and private sector, Andy joined DCS Automotive in 1999 and took over running the company in 2002. In 2003 he started up an SAP business there, which rapidly grew to 20% of the annual sales. He has successfully conducted business in automotive retail in Europe, Middle East, Far East and Caribbean regions. During his time in Hong Kong he started up a joint venture with a multi-billion US$ Malaysian enterprise serving the Chinese market. He also spent time in the Gulf region in 2006 building the DCS business there.

Following the Reynolds & Reynolds acquisition of DCS in 2006, he took up the position of Managing Director, Northern Europe, based in Munich. After the UCS/R&R merger that followed, he decided to move on to new challenges, and negotiated the management buy-out of the R&R SAP business, becoming owner of Motiveauto in 2007. The staff of Motiveauto transferred across at the same time, and the new company has grown steadily to become recognised as one of SAP’s preferred global partners in the automotive retail segment.

Amongst Andy’s other business interests, he is a Partner in a values-based Management Consultancy of over 60 leading experts, specialising in corporate turnaround and recovery.

A former rugby player, he enjoys most forms of sport, participating these days in the more sedate activities of golf and sailing. When he’s not travelling, he lives in the Northamptonshire countryside in England with his partner Rebecca.
